HeliMods is thrilled for local Sunshine Coast robotics team, RoboKings, from Chancellor State College, who attended the National FIRST Technology Challenge in Sydney over the weekend. They won highest performing robot in Australia and the top Inspire award for all their work in local, national and international STEM development through robotics.
HeliMods was pleased to support the RoboKings students through supplying machined, aerospace grade aluminium panels for their robot, which were a brilliant complement to their amazing work.
Just a few weeks before the RoboKings took out their award, they came to see us at HeliMods. While showing off their impressive prototype and demonstrating how it worked, the HeliMods team couldn’t resist offering to take it to the next level through supplying higher grade materials to bolster their robot. The students also loved seeing our 3D scanning technology in action, so we couldn’t resist doing a scan of their robot! Well done to all of the students – some exceptionally talented, bright and passionate young individuals. HeliMods wished you all the best of luck for the World Championships in Houston next year.
