A significant milestone has been achieved this week, with the HeliMods Powered Aero Loader (PAL™) now fully operational across Ornge’s fleet of 11 air ambulance AW139 helicopters.
These aircraft are now operating with our world-first powered stretcher loading technology across the province of Ontario, Canada, helping to improve patient outcomes and increase safety for both patients and crew. Over 940 patients have been rescued and transported using our PAL™ technology since integration into the Ornge fleet commenced in April of this year. We could not be prouder to be part of this journey, supporting paramedics and crew to perform their life-saving missions and deliver the best possible care to the Ontario community.
The HeliMods team flew to Toronto this week for the final aircraft going online and to perform a series of training activities with the Ornge team on our PAL™ system. We were also privileged to be on Live Breakfast TV in Toronto, with Ornge Chief Flight Paramedic, Justin Smith, talking about how the PAL™ has been a step-change in their delivery of patient transport and care.
